It’s 2:00 a.m. EDT in Washington. A conference call has been set up among State Secretary Kerry, Senator McCain and Valerie Jarrett, hereinafter referenced as K, M, and J.
**J: This better be good, you guys…do you know what time it is here? Where are you anyway, out slumming?
**K: Sorry for any inconvenience, Val, I’m here in Dead Sea, Jordan, and…
**M: And I’m here somewhere in Syria or maybe Turkey…depends on where that red line is, you know…
**J: I’ll forget you said “red line” Senator…you know that’s a sore subject here right now.
**K: Yeah…that’s Rubicon territory, John, and we have no need to…
**M: I got the right guys this time for the president to unload everything from M-16s to rockets on and…
**K: Watch it there, John. You thought you had the right guys in Benghazi in 2011 and now look at…
**J: Yeah, those jihad nutcases have taken all of ’em over to Syria…hey…you better watch out there Senator. A white guy’s the same as camel dung there…if you get my drift.
**M: Not funny, Valerie. Just go wake up the president and let me explain…
**J: You gotta be outta your mind Senator. I didn’t dare wake him up even when Benghazi was on fire last September and the ambassador was getting wasted. What’s a few thousand Syrians here or there? Whatta you want…a drone or two to bomb Assad and start another Arab Spring? We got hung out to dry in the last Arab Spring.
**K: Good grief, John! Here I am trying to spread four billion dollars around to buy off all the Palestinians in the interest of peace and you’re…
**M: Oh yeah, John, like you tried to settle the whole world back in 1970 by meeting that bunch of commies in Paris. (laughs) Yeah, you a lowly reserve lieutenant tryin’ to be the secretary of state with all those tales of Americans killing 200,000 Vietnamese civilians a year…oh hahahaha.
**K: Not funny, John! I did my duty…got the purple hearts to prove it and…
**M: Yeah…three of ’em in four months without a scratch from the enemy. Are they the ones you threw over the fence in that protest gang of hippies when…
**J: If you wanna fight the Vietnam War again, don’t try to do it on my time and I’m about to hang up if you’re…
**M: Don’t do that, Valerie. Remember, Assad is killing his own people and we need to get into a no-fly zone right now and…
**K: Yeah…like Qaddafi was killing his own people and you, Senator, plumped for all that hardware that went to al Qaeda in Libya and now it’s in Syria and nobody knows who’s running the joint, never mind your crazy notion that you know who is. By the way, who ordered up this call and why?
**K,**M: We did.
**K: Four billion won’t cut it with Abbas. He’s holding out for another cool billion wired to his personal bank-account in Switzerland…to finance hospitals, of course.
**M: This top-grade fourteen-star rebel-general needs 85 troop carriers, 10,000 grenade-launchers and a quick no-fly zone right now, Valerie, so I told him I would pull the president off the golf course and take care of the matter, so puh-leeze get on the ball and…
**J: Golf course? You outta your mind, McCain? Can’t you read the time-zone map? The president’s not scheduled to tee-off until 10:00 a.m. and he expressly told me he needs plenty of rest since he’s playing against Putin’s ambassador and needs to show his resolve.
**M: Oh hahahahaha! I thought it was flexibility he promised to show Putin when he was reelected. Remember that open mike, Valerie, when…
**J: First the red-line remark and now this insult, McCain. You’re toast here, especially since the president told me specifically to never let a call from you get through to him. He’s still plenty steamed that you tried to con the election by choosing that awful woman from Alaska to be your veep—a blatant show of using a hired woman to…
**K: Yeah…that was a mean-spirited thing to do, John…and then having to pay off Katie Couric and that Gibson guy and the rest of that sorry media propaganda gang to figure ways to embarrass you and her both. That took a big hunk out of the campaign funds. News-anchors don’t come cheap…or haven’t you noticed? How much you paying that camera-gang with you there…wherever you are or think you are? I saw the posed pictures in the paper. You looked like you were about to flop down on a prayer-rug and face Mecca.
**J: Hear, hear, Secretary Kerry! Well-said! Goodnight, McCain, don’t let the RPGs bite. And, you, Mr. Secretary, don’t ever call here at night unless maybe something like a Russian invasion of California is happening.
**M: Yeah, Ms. Jarrett. That’s where all the campaign funds come from…that movie crowd! They’d all wind up in Lubyanka Prison. (wild laughter)
(click, click, click)
And so it goes.

In Memoriam
Someone mentioned to me a while back that I should check on some of the overseas newspapers to see how intense is the loss of this nation's "goodwill of much of the rest of the world;" however, I can read as much hatred for this country as they spew over there just by reading the mainstream press in the USA or watching NBC/ABC/CBS and their cable outlets. I couldn't care less about the goodwill of much of the world, or any of the world, for that matter. What I DO care about is the safety of this country.
As for American Imperialism, a favorite term for some of the dumbest detractors, just tally up all the lands in the world captured and now governed by the USA as the result of its victories for the last 100 or so years, during which it has been the difference between freedom and slavery for entire populations. I'm a lot more interested in the history of those 100 years than in what any foreign newspaper has to say about anything, or any other rag for that matter, like the New York Times or the Washington Post. Obviously, the key to security is having the strongest military establishment in the world – an establishment comprised of those who are prepared to give their all. Those who die in the process are honored each year at this time, and stood between this country and the tyrants who stop at nothing in their quest to undermine U.S. liberty and that of the rest of the world.
Europe realized freedom as early as 1917-18 (after four years of bloodletting) ONLY because of the USA (117,000 dead Americans); ditto for Europe and Asia 1941-45 (405,000 dead Americans); South Korea 1950-53 (37,000 dead Americans). How much of any of the countries involved in these conflicts does the USA own/govern today? How much of Vietnam from the fighting in the 1960s-70s (58,000 dead Americans), which would not have been communist today but for the incompetence in WashingtAfter freeing it in 1991, how much of Kuwait and all of its oil belongs to the USA, or has ever belonged tthe USA, this terrible imperialistic power so named by people like talking-head Pat Buchanan or perhaps the (gasp) foreign, sophisticated press? The USA did the dirty work regarding Serbia-Kosovo in the 90s, so how much of those countries does the USA own/govern today? All of eastern Europe was freed in 1989-90 from the Soviet Union ONLY because of the USA, and how much of that huge expanse does the USA own/govern today?
The USA also freed Cuba and the Philippines from Spain just over 100 years ago and maintained a presence in the latter, helping against Japan in WWII, and removing itself militarily, as requested, just a few years ago. Now, Muslim thugs are taking over that country. The USA could have made Cuba into a state, but it didn't, and now look at the mess there. To even mention imperialism in connection with anything this country has done militarily is to not only be patently wrongheaded, but also to be scurrilous to the point of malice.
Here is a tribute in this Memorial Day season (changed from the traditional/solemn 30 May into a long fun-filled weekend in 1971) to those who gave their lives or who are the current sentries and combatants in the never-ending struggle for freedom:
TYRANNY
The muffled sound of drum and fife
And musketry in mortal strife
And voices raised in anger, pain,
Or mourning those among the slain
Are sensed when contemplating still
The carnage of a Bunker Hill,
When only battles - bloody, fierce -
The wall of tyranny could pierce.
Then comes to mind the gory scenes
From Queenston Heights to New Orleans
When tyranny again was banned
Upon the sea, upon the land;
And one can sense again the sound
When roaring cannons shook the ground
And mortal men...to make men free...
Would enter immortality.
On Shiloh’s bloody ground that day
They died with valor in full sway,
Or Gettysburg...Chancellorsville,
Where brothers each might brother kill;
One hears the massive, tragic groan
As tens of thousands would atone
- With blood - for hated slavery...
The vilest form of tyranny.
When jaded beasts oppress the poor
And close to them sweet freedom’s door,
It falls upon the free...the strong
Throughout the world to right this wrong;
At Santiago, brave men fell,
And San Juan Hill became a hell,
But men who found eternity
Gained entry scourging tyranny.
Chateau-Thierry, Belleau Wood,
Where thousands died, but others stood
Their ground with blood and sweat and fears,
And buried comrades through their tears;
And one can sense the frightful sounds
Of tanks and planes emitting rounds
From lethal, modern weaponry
To end the threat of tyranny.
To end the threat of tyranny? -
Ah...no...remember Normandy,
Or Iwo Jima, Anzio,
Where once again the blood must flow;
And one may close the eyes and see
And hear the mighty guns at sea
And wonder why it all must be...
But knows deep down...end tyranny.
So listen!...hear the muffled roar
Of new jet planes now bound for war,
Of new invasions from the sea,
The dying fighting tyranny;
And names like Inchon, Pork Chop Hill,
And Bloody Ridge - remembered still -
Assault the mind, yet augur peace,
In hope that tyranny will cease.
But hope, though strong, has little worth
As long as despots roam the earth,
As long as beasts whose prime resource
Is tyranny...forge brutal force;
So listen...as the jungle screams,
And those who die are shorn of dreams
At Pleiku, Khe Sanh, and Da Nang,
Where flags from coffins daily hang.
No…evil tyranny survives,
Each generation robbed of lives
Attempting to wipe out its curse,
Each war the next one to rehearse;
Recall the battle in the sand -
Exploding missiles as they land
On Persian Gulf, Kuwait, Iraq,
Mad tyranny again to block.
As in most centuries before,
The newest one began with war
When evil men in Allah’s name
Torched innocents in bomb and flame;
The terrorists will find they pay
In Afghan mountains day by day
Or in Iraq on blood-black sand
An awesome price when good men stand.
New century the twenty-first
By new phenomenon was curst,
Not armies fighting on the field
But vile assassins, death to wield
On women, children…instill fright,
Use terror as religious rite,
False god Allah’s new tyranny,
Its minions daily brought to knee.
************
In tranquil fields throughout the world,
Our dead are marked by flags unfurled,
Or marked by nature’s restless waves,
Beneath the seas in timeless graves;
Yes, thus it is, and thus will be...
Until God’s final, terse decree...
But until then, now strong and free,
The decent must kill tyranny.
And so it goes.

Columnist Acclaims Homosexuality
Sometime Lexington Herald-Leader columnist Roger Guffey, a retired math teacher, delivered a piece (18 May) insisting that homosexual geniuses should be celebrated and even quoted Bill Clinton, currently government’s best-known sexual deviant, to make the point. Guffey claimed that “many demonize gay people” as part of his rationale. Actually, according to the dictionary, to demonize (transitive verb) is to turn someone into an evil spirit, an impossibility, but Guffey’s field was not English so he gets a pass on that.
To make his point, Guffey furnished a list of 46 (give or take one or two) homosexual “geniuses” whose accomplishments should be celebrated. He furnished no documentation that these folks were actually homosexual (or maybe bisexual or tri-sexual or other-sexual) but cut him slack and accept that they were perverted, many if not most of them dead, anyway, and couldn’t care less. A huge number came from the entertainment field—Hollywood-types, ergo Obama’s rich supporters/friends currently—with many still alive and working.
Guffey’s way is to ask questions, as any math teacher would do, and so after each listing he poses the question as to whether or not the mentioned homosexuals’ offerings should be appreciated despite their strangeness. That method represents a “straw man,” of course, since most people appreciate what they do and would do so even if the homosexuals were purple and ate jellyfish for supper. Guffey’s target (he always has a target) in the column is Christians, many if not most of whom take a dim view of what the Bible condemns exorbitantly—homosexual behavior.
To make his point more valid, Guffey goes all the way back to Plato, the great Greek philosopher and even Alexander the Great, who conquered the known world, born in 428 BC and 356 BC, respectively. Oh yes, time-wise, “BC” is out and “BCE” is in as per current political correctness that defines Christ as a nonentity, but to each his own.
As the Population Reference would have it, 107.6 billion people have lived since 50,000 BC. In 2011, the National Geographic TV program put the figure at 110 billion since 10,000 BC. No one knows, of course, but suffice it to say that 46 homosexual geniuses out of 110 billion going at least as far back as Plato is a huge segment of the population, as any math teacher would know. Guffey is probably an evolutionist but didn’t mention any forbears such as apes and one-celled amoebae as geniuses—somewhat discriminatory—but Guffey doesn’t claim to be a retired anthropologist.
Of course, there are other types of homosexuals, too, but Guffey didn’t mention that. According to German historian Lothar Machtan’s biography of Adoph Hitler (Hitler’s Secret – the Double Life of a Dictator [2001]), der Fuhrer ordered the deaths of several high-ranking Nazis to prevent disclosure of his “secret,” among whom was Ernst Rohm, also a homosexual and head of the dreaded and vicious Storm Troopers. As a noted homosexual and probable syphilis-victim, Hitler was also a coward.
Or, there’s the interesting case of Yasser Arafat. In a book by Lt. Gen Ion Pacepa, deputy chief of Romania’s intelligence service, it is noted that Arafat’s quarters in Romania were bugged and so it was possible to listen to Arafat and his body-guard get it on, Arafat roaring like a tiger and the body-guard yelping like a hyena—interesting homosexuals to celebrate. The consensus (look it up) is that Arafat died of AIDS.
But back to the cultured and sophisticated Plato, Guffey’s prize example from antiquity: His homosexual bent was outdone only by his rampant pedophilia. In his Symposium, Plato advocated for an army of homosexual lovers (and there was such an army), and he also wrote this: “I cannot say what greater good there is for a young boy than a gentle lover, or for a lover than a boy to love.”
Greek culture (Plato) openly accepted both homosexuality and pederasty. Ah…the joy of a man depositing the terminus of his urinary tract into the terminus of an innocent boy’s intestinal system (perhaps with a drop of WD-40)! In Greek athletic games, the players sported in the nude. Imagine that in the NBA, with the seven-footers flashing even the tattoos on their private parts.
Homosexuality was culturally accepted in the Roman Empire, too. Both empires imploded—rotted out! Illiterate barbarians overcame the “cultured” Romans. Nearly one-fourth of U.S. states have approved same-sex marriage (deviancy), which furnished the context for Guffey’s article. This is an indication of this country’s destiny…move over Greco- and Roman-empires. The U.S is not far behind. Perversion as normal is even taught in many public schools.
And so it goes.

Governmental Stupidity
The definition of stupid: 1a: slow of mind:
OBTUSE: b: given to unintelligent decisions or acts: acting in an unintelligent
or careless manner: c: lacking
intelligence or reason: BRUTISH. 3:
marked by or resulting from unreasoned thinking or acting: SENSELESS. All governments have a problem with this element,
party-affiliations (or not) or other identifying factors not necessarily
mitigating factors. Neither are
individuals, except for the very rare ones.
The Obama administration may have a corner on
stupidity. Its complete mishandling of
the Middle East “crisis” is a case in point.
Its total obtuseness concerning the Benghazi massacre of four American
officials last September by terrorists points up stonewalling carried to the
nth degree, and everyone knows by now that it was designed to save the
election—an effort built completely on LIES.
It was proven through e-mail activity noted in the current House hearing
that Libya’s top-man indicated the day after the bombing that terrorists had
carried out the murders and injuries to other Americans.
That was the day that Obama, off to a fundraising event, and
then-State Secretary Clinton stopped by the Rose Garden to advance the weird
notion that the massacre was a simple protest that had gotten out of hand
(actually in Cairo, Egypt) over a U-Tube film criticizing Mohammad. Despite the administration’s certain
knowledge that this was not the case, UN Ambassador Rice—the fall-guy/scapegoat—went
on TV to parrot that bit of nonsense days later and Obama brought it up in a UN
speech weeks later but also weeks before the election.
The
“whistleblowers” (people on the ground and/or with certain knowledge of what
happened), who had been selectively shut-up heretofore, have now been allowed
in the current House hearing to spell out the damning truth, though, of course,
people with walking-around sense knew that mortars were not usually employed by
protesters. In the previous House
hearing, Clinton raged, “What difference does it make …?” and that scene will
be played over and over as she tunes up for 2016 and her expected presidential
campaign.
In her 2008 campaign, Clinton made up and repeated an
account of the sniper-attack she underwent in Bosnia in 1996. Problem: There wasn’t an element
of truth in it. Now,
she’s part of the current BIG LIE, a lie even worse than that one. The most pathetic display of stupidity in
the hearing was furnished by Missouri Congressman Clay, who attempted to
connect Benghazi with the “sequester,” which, of course, hadn’t even gone into
effect then. He had to be reminded that
a State Department official testified last year before this same committee that
there was no lack of resources connected to Benghazi.
Obama and Clinton acted in an unintelligent or
careless manner, first by thinking they could get away with such
subterfuge, and also by their initial decision concerning Libya, which was to
bomb it into the next universe in 2011.
In this, they displayed an almost unbelievable ignorance concerning what
to expect in Libya—seven months of death and destruction with the end result
being a Libya in far worse shape than formerly, all their condemnations of
Qaddafi to the contrary notwithstanding.
Obama said the action would take days, not weeks, an indication of
well-developed stupidity, especially for a commander-in-chief, a title he
constantly reminds is his.
Apparently thinking it fashionable in 2011, Obama ordered
heads of state to vacate their offices in Libya, Egypt, Yemen and Syria, the
clear implication being that if they didn’t he would see to it. This is called “mouth-flapping stupidity,”
especially since those leaders knew he was in two wars and would do nothing. Some went, under pressure of their people,
who believed Obama, and those countries are now worse off and facing Sharia Law
governance, one step below slavery.
Obama went further concerning Syria and announced a “red
line” that couldn’t be crossed. The red
line reportedly is in effect now but the official word is that it will take
time to discover all the elements surrounding that red line—when, where, how,
who, why, what, etc., all to be done when the U.S. has no intelligence
resources in Syria. Unless he is
hopelessly stupid, Obama will let the Syrians settle their own civil war their
own way…or at least sit back and let the Middle Easterners deal with their own
kind.
The Benghazi matter is not the only area of stupidity in
which this administration is bogged down.
The big news recently has to do with rape in the military (3,374
reported in 2012) but according to the Associated Press perhaps 26,000 that
were not reported. The AP, actually a
propaganda arm of the administration, didn’t explain how it knew there were up
to 26,000 except that people not allowing use of their names said so. Weird!
The stupidity connected to this is the purposeful mixing of
the sexes in intimate quarters like training areas and aboard navy ships (the
president has just included foxholes, too).
The integrated boot-camp experiment failed probably twice at least,
though it’s bound to be used again since social engineers, using political
correctness and diversity as primary philosophy/methodology, have adopted
unisex as official, and these people are running everything now.
A further example of military stupidity had to do with the
erasure of the “don’t ask, don’t tell” policy over the objections of the
commanders in the field (not the Pentagon politically-appointed crowd). This will further erode military pride,
morale and consequent capability. This
was Obama’s idea—stupid. The
commander-in-chief can correct these problems…but he won’t.
And so it goes.

Department of Gender
Dear President Obma:
As CEO of the Institute for Modifying All Government Entities (known by its acronym IMAGE), I am writing to offer our services particularly vis-à-vis the rumor that you plan to institute a cabinet-level Department of Gender. As you can well imagine, there will be a need to make this department relevant to national needs, especially in California, where gender is generally what anyone says it is, notwithstanding the official opinion of the National Organization of Women that “gender” is a discriminatory term militating against unisex, the only politically correct definition of people or animals or birds or bees. Indeed, you have just enhanced this definition as commander-in-chief by ordering women into combat units, thereby adding the elements of reason and birth-control to the fighting, which until now has always been defined as simply breaking things and killing people.
Actually, this approach was engendered by IMAGE’s department Management of Orgiastic Ruminations on Nonchalance, known as MORON, for short. This is a new department recently instituted in view of your approach to sex, especially your approval of the after-morning pill or live-birth abortions, whichever comes first, for 12-year-olds and up. No girl or woman should have to worry about the ramifications of her God-given-right to hanky-panky, referenced in the Declaration of Independence as the pursuit of happiness. MORON does many things, among which are seminars designed to help anyone (even men) engage a proper rationale that “anything goes” in a democracy, which MORON defines as legalized anarchy, thereby allowing any and all kinds of sexual activity, short of murders deriving from lover’s quarrels, of course.
It is also rumored that a top candidate to be the department’s new secretary is Jason Collins, upon whom, as you know, you recently lavished your imprimatur for his being courageous enough to “come out.” I assume the rumor that you plan to award him a Silver Star is in error since that is usually given to a combat-veteran. Nevertheless, IMAGE has a department to help this appointee to become acceptable to the general public or at least not be cowed by it, especially in the Bible-belt states. It’s called the Program for Erogenous Reactions to Vindictive Erroneous Religious Tenets, or PERVERT, for short. Some homosexuals tend to respond to criticism of their sexual behavior by realizing despair and even—horrors—at least temporarily refraining from pursuing happiness. It is the business of PERVERT to help them through this psychological problem, using another new program entitled Groove All Year, or GAY, for short.
Mr. Collins has been well-documented as having dumped a girlfriend of eight years (actually leaving her at the altar) so the candidate, besides being homosexual, may be bisexual or even tri-sexual, making your choice ever so much more appropriate. This, however, could lead some maliciously minded folks into believing he does not honor monogamy in his loving relationships and, therefore, might even—horrors—be promiscuous. IMAGE has this eventuality covered, however, in its Laboratory of Venereal Erogenous Rx, or LOVER, for short. This agency keeps all participants in the know relative to when, how, why, why not, when not and if not with regard to sleeping around and the various remedies for the results of same. IMAGE is taking the liberty of suggesting Sandra Fluke as either the secretary or deputy secretary, not because of the just mentioned possibility but because she, with your esteemed help, has put Obamacare on notice that law-school coeds are entitled to government-furnished condoms, pills, machinery and other means of both birth-control and STD-prevention, the better to pursue happiness without the constant worry of needing to abort the little suckers or catching something.
Currently, as you are aware, governments on various levels produce laws regulating behavior, requiring that people know what and where specific activities are possible or not possible. Some of these laws have to do with acceptable restroom behavior, for instance – unfair laws, of course, but enacted, nevertheless. A Department of Gender should have and furnish guidance in this matter, guarding behavior that might seem to be illegal but is actually okay, especially depending on location. California is not Mississippi, if you get my drift. The IMAGE agency responsible for this matter is the Bureau for Elective Success Through Improprieties, Aberrations and Licentiousness, or BESTIAL, for short. BESTIAL will furnish information as to the what, when, and how with regard to strange but perfectly legal behavior. For instance, one may do things in a Gay Pride parade in San Francisco that would be reason for arrest in Alabama. This is very important, especially since political correctness and diversity are exponentially important now. BESTIAL is equipped to go to court in even the backward states such as Kentucky to protect one’s right to pursue happiness in frolicking absolutely nude, for instance, or even marrying one or up to four people of the same sex…or the family dog, for that matter. The Department of Justice would do well to follow its guidelines.
In any case, I will appreciate hearing from you or from whatever representative you choose. Incidentally, I hope you are improving your shooting ability and note that cigarette-smoking is not illegal anywhere you say it isn’t, White House or not.
Best regards,
I.M. Otherself, CEO

Obama/Collins—Odd Couple!
People do strange things sometimes—like killing folks or running around naked or writing garbage—to gain that traditional fifteen minutes of fame. Now, it’s fashionable to do strange things—like preferring anal and oral “intercourse” to the usual boring type—to gain fifteen minutes of shame…and to be the first to do it, in the instant case Jason Collins, the NBA player who has just (fanfare, please) “come out” to the public as the first NBA homosexual. To make it even better, he is the first BLACK NBA player to gain that fifteen minutes of shame. How much better could it get?
Well…that fifteen minutes of shame was good enough to elicit a phone call of congratulations (three fanfares and a drum-roll, please) from – you guessed it – President Obama, who may be hoping at this very moment that one of his daughters will be a certified lesbian, worthier than ever of his attention. He may even be playing matchmaker by now…looking for perhaps an NFL first-timer – red, yellow, black, white or otherwise – in the interests of a marriage made in TV-land just for Collins and whomever. One hopes that the prez – in his state of shared euphoria with Collins – does not conjure up the fortitude—matching that of Collins—to declare war not just on Syria but the entire Middle East. If Collins can cross a “red line,” why can’t he?
Collins said he wanted to be genuine and authentic and truthful. Well…okay, but who cares? He most likely has a liver and spleen no one has seen (but maybe a doc) so why does he believe anyone cares to know what sexual orientation he thinks he has. To air out an anomaly—being s-o-o-o proudly different—can have only one motive and it has nothing to do with being genuine and authentic and truthful. It has only to do with an in-your-face arrogance that’s deplorable. People like the president believe people like Collins (and a lot of Hollywood-types) have such a pronounced sophistication as homosexuals that their superiority (and courage…oh, yeah) simply must be recognized. Egad! One finds courage on a battlefield or in a burning house, not in a jock locker-room.
One hopes that Collins doesn’t have the same affliction as Tiger Woods, i.e., sex-addiction. If that should be the case, locker rooms all over the country will be wild places. Of course, Woods got help, though maybe he was just doing what comes naturally to folks like him and former NBA player Wilt Chamberlain, who claimed in his biography that he’d had sex with approximately 20,000 women, or 1.5 per day. Then, there was NBA star Magic Johnson, who gave promiscuity and adultery brand new meanings by taking HIV home to his family. That cost him his basketball career, but Collins has been awarded the president’s imprimatur, so what’s to lose? Maybe there’s something in the Gatorade at NBA games.
Collins is a cipher in this matter. He could claim to actually be a recovering transvestite with three sex-change operations and two aborted babies conceived with an orangutan and…so what! His act, but far more importantly the president’s act, marks a crudeness and coarseness that are taking over in this country and damning it to a hollowed-out carcass similar to ancient Rome’s. Obama is on the record as favoring partial-birth abortions (murder). He campaigned with Sandra Fluke of poverty-driven-condom-less-women fame (or at least law students), a patently stupid and condescending bid to gain the women’s vote, which he already had locked-up.
What’s so special about being a pervert that it simply must be announced to the world? Should straight folks do the same, i.e., “come out” in magazines or press conferences? Naw…there would be no celebrity status in that since 99.99% of people are heterosexual, making them too unsophisticated to demand attention. The president, in his glorification of Collins, was telling all the eighth-graders to get hip and have real fun. The girls in Middle School are now doubly encouraged to fornicate prolifically and just sashay on down to the drug-store and get some pills. It’s all part of Planned Parenthood (otherwise known as Abortion Heaven) but actually encourages planned un-parenthood. This is the outfit the president has just acclaimed to the high heavens—his gang.
As for Collins…maybe he can go back to Massachusetts, the land of Barney Frank (pimp for “partner”) and Gerry Studds (RIP), who did congressional pages, and run for an office. He couldn’t lose, not in Massachusetts.
And so it goes.

Three Dangerous Senators
Some people are dangers to society and doubly so when they hold positions allowing them to exert great influence—such as that of a senator. While in this corner most of their positions are appreciated and supported, Senators McCain, Graham and, at least sometimes, Lieberman seem off-the-wall to the point of being scary. Most of their weird approaches have to do with how to use the U.S. military establishment…and, conversely, how not to use it.
President Obama’s legacy, at least at this point, may have less to do with the miserable economy and intolerable high rate of unemployment than with how he’s used the military to great disadvantage to both this and other nations. Start with a look at the so-called Arab Spring uprisings in the Middle East in mostly 2011, including North Africa. Obama announced to the world that leaders such as Libya’s Qaddafi, Egypt’s Mubarak, Yemen’s Saleh and Syria’s Assad just had to go, with the clear implication that the U.S. would see that insurgents would get this country’s help, especially militarily.
Aiding and abetting Obama were the senators, who were gung-ho for his rape of Libya. One remembers McCain in the Benghazi area lobbying for weapons for the insurgents but, despite his claims to the contrary, had no better idea than anyone else just which insurgents could be trusted. As it happened, none of them could be and multitudes of them (and their weapons) have since left to join the insurgents in Syria.
Qaddafi warned of his fight with al Qaeda and now the three senators have helped the butchers take the country, as well as kill the U.S. ambassador and three others on 9/11 last, with the killers never apprehended. The country is much worse off today (ungovernable) than it was before Obama and the senators decided Libya was a patsy and could be had. The president said “days, not weeks,” but the bombing went on for seven months, with no accounting of the number of innocent Libyans killed.
In March 2012, the three senators came up with a “non-binding” resolution calling for the U.S. to arm Syrian rebels and establish “safe” zones inside the country. Problem: Even if Obama were to decide to do that, to whom would he give the arms? The situation is the same as that of Libya. How in the world would this country – without putting boots on the ground – establish any kind of zone? If the arms were to be funneled through the Arab League, they would wind up with the Muslim Brotherhood, which is currently accomplishing the ruination of Egypt.
Now, there are allegations that Assad is using gas on Syrian civilians. Actually, no one knows who is doing what in that benighted country. This is claimed by the pundits to be the crossing of Obama’s “red-line,” the marker establishing the use of troops. This would probably be fine with the senators, but what president in his right mind would send American GIs into a war-zone where gas is being used in a CIVIL WAR, which (sans the gas) is what was happening in Libya?
It’s especially outrageous to consider military action in light of the fact that the country’s been at war since 2003, with ground troops having been deployed multi-times to fight where their greatest fear is getting shot in the back by the people they’re supposedly helping attain democracy, an absolute impossibility in any Moslem-controlled nation anyway. Item: Interpol has a warrant for arresting the duly-elected Iraqi vice president, charged with supporting the CIVIL WAR actions of the Sunnis. He doesn’t dare show up at his own office.
None of the three senators has had ground-combat experience but Defense Secretary Hagel fought on the ground in Vietnam with distinction in another CIVIL WAR that cost this country 58,000 dead and accomplished nothing. McCain spent many years as a POW, Graham is yet a military lawyer and Lieberman has not worn the uniform. It’s doubtful that Hagel is interested in saving Syria militarily.
Maybe they ought to butt out or at least gin up some support from men who have fought on the ground, especially in Muslim territory, in which an anything-goes approach is okay, including wantonly killing women and children and back-shooting Americans, as is the case now in Afghanistan. If Obama had enough spine, he would be withdrawing Americans from Afghanistan NOW. The Russians, after spending the 1980s trying to subdue the Afghans, simply went home, with more than 13,000 dead and 35,000 wounded.
Does this country never learn?
And so it goes.

Justice for Jihadists?
Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, the younger of the Boston “Brother Bombers” (the one still alive), is one unlucky guy. He is being charged criminally and will thus be tried or otherwise handled in the Justice system. This means that he can be brought to trial, no religious shenanigans available to deter that.
If he had been accounted a terrorist and turned over to the army (maybe a trip to Gitmo, even), he could have grown a beard and used the “Major Hasan Defense” to escape a trial altogether, i.e., his religious beliefs concerning a beard would have been violated. The army demands its people to be clean-shaven on duty, such as while being tried for murder. The Army Court Martial judge, a male, who initially ruled that his beard had to go has been replaced by a lady judge (December 2012) but the major seems to still have no trial date of substance.
The Fort Hood massacre happened in November 2009 but 3.5 years later—no trial for a man who lots of people saw gun down 13 soldiers and one civilan and wound 43 others before being himself shot. This compares to three dead and 264 wounded in the bombing and one dead policeman vis-à-vis the Boston Marathon massacre.
Of course, the official designation of the Ft. Hood matter is “workplace violence.” Tsarnaev’s court-appointed lawyers should look into this. Did the 19-year-old commit a terrorist act? After all, he didn’t scream Allah Akbar before the bomb went off, as did Hasan before he let loose on the innocent. Maybe Tsarnaev merely committed “workplace violence” since his method was used in a business-setting where gobs of people were at work in offices, restaurants, stores, etc.
President Obama and Attorney General Holder have unique positions regarding these pieces of scum. Hasan belongs to the Army (Court Martial only), so he is beyond the reach of Holder with respect to delays or anything else. However, he is totally in the hands of Obama, the commander-in-chief, who’s never worn a uniform but often reminds the great unwashed of his rank. Obama could have signed a piece of paper years ago facilitating the trial and Hasan would be paying for his crimes now (maybe even dead) instead of being paid his generous Major’s salary ($4,222 per month + room, board, healthcare and expenses) for doing nothing but dreaming of figs, eating well and hating infidels.
Tsarnaev is in the civil-criminal sytem so he’s beyond the reach of the president, who, ipso facto, has delayed the Muslim murderous major from coming to trial, especially while his defense team perhaps dreams up insanity pleas and plans for him a life of ease in some well-appointed federal booby hatch. Tsarnaev belongs to Holder, who could sign a piece of paper and have the little butcher paying the price in a matter of months…if he wanted to.
Hasan and Tsarnaev are Muslims—serious Muslims, translated as jihadists. However, to criticize Muslims now is a distinct NO-NO-NO, political correctness being more operative than ever. Indeed, the Cathlic archbishop who presided over the religious service the other day in Boston made it a point to indicate that the Muslims—whose holy book requires death for the infidels (Americans)—must not be frowned upon, criticized or otherwise called to account for what even the imams and ayatollahs admit—death or slavery for the infidel, as required by Islam.
This means that Tsarnaev should never be referenced as a Muslim, never mind his motivation for the bombing. At age 19, he also may not know that Muslims consider second in importance only to the killing of Americans the killing of each other, which is what Saddam did in 1991 (before Tsarnaev was born) in attacking Kuwait with the hope of invading Saudi Arabia, the land of Islamic-sacred Mecca and Medina. He may be ignorant of the actual history accruing to Afghanistan regarding 9/11 and the Iraq invasion.
Of course, Obama, with no provocation of any kind, set loose the war against Muslim Libya in 2011 and reduced it to its present-day shambles. He is currently allowing U.S. operations/aid against Muslim North-Mali. He is meddling in Syria. What conclusion could anyone, even a callow youth, draw from the Libya-operation—seven months of bombing with not yet an accounting of the dead, not to mention the enabling of the al Qaeda that Qaddafi was fighting to keep out of Libya?
Will either of these Muslims be judged/sentenced any time soon? Of course not! Political-correctness simply would not allow it. They belong to a protected species.
And so it goes.
Jim Clark

Boston Marathon/Euphoria
Now that the euphoria is over (or is it?) regarding the killing/capture of the Boston Marathon bombers, perhaps some conclusions can be drawn, not the least of which is the almost total inattention to the tragedy vis-à-vis the fertilizer-factory explosion in West, Texas, that in terms of lives lost and damage was much worse than in Boston/Watertown, MA. It’s almost as if the town actually wasn’t virtually blown away and 14 first-responders didn’t die.
The first conclusion is the same as the first every time, to wit, that for probably 24+ hours just about everything that was reported by all TV-media establishments was erroneous. This is so predictable that one should pay almost no attention to any of them – even in the midst of briefings by the appropriate officials. One can only wonder how the various stories are taken seriously by responsible reporters, who seem to feel that hearsay is the same as hard news. One remembers the Florida vote-count in 2000 or the various accounts of natural disasters as initially reported and then interminably “cleaned-up” after the fact, if at all.
One can gauge the importance of an event by the rush of the network “super-anchors” to the scene, as if no one else is smart enough to explain what happened. It was interesting to watch the various programs depicting the events given their own names, just like the Evening News that comes along every day…complete with the proper graphics and the over-the-top music and wild animation – the best show in town. This went on for days and nights, a 24/7 thing that the newsies (and commercial-gang) probably thought the public just couldn’t do without.
In the “official briefings,” the usual large amount of time was devoted to a regaling of the public with a list of all the agencies involved, how utterly well they performed and how the public should extol their agents and feel safe. This isn’t to disparage the first responders and all the others but just to mention that none of that stuff is actually important and, indeed, often sounds so boastful that it turns people off. People who do great things often say little or nothing about it. Everyone knows this is a great country and has great responders of every kind.
The most salient fact was that one teenager could hold a million or so people and thousands of businesses and other enterprises hostage for a whole night and day. Everything was ordered closed-down and people ordered to stay inside. Even Harvard was closed. One understands that the situation was fluid and that there could have been possible dangers, but neither New York City nor Washington was closed down on 9/11, and that involved a much worse catastrophe than Boston. Imagine such a protocol in Kabul, Baghdad, Amman or Jerusalem, which would be necessitated every day. People would starve. In fact, Chicago vis-à-vis murder is bad enough.
This fact alone told the Muslim jihad-monsters worldwide that this nation can be cowed to a standstill by nearly anything…the worst sort of message to be sending those cutthroats, an invitation to just pick an event and scare the U.S. to death, while shutting down all services. Egad! This should not happen again, all the bluster about the episode “bringing the people together and showing the world a thing or two” being just so much blowing-smoke. To cap off the euphoria, a Boston baseball player immortalized the day with a vulgar four-letter word spoken to the world. How utterly stupid…but Obama’s FCC chairman thought it was great!
The law-enforcement folks did their usual excellent work but it needs remembering that but for a couple or so well-placed surveillance cameras the bombers could still be in Cambridge, laughing. The airliner shoe-bombers would have been successful if, either through stupidity or cold feet, they hadn’t failed to make their bombs explode. The same can be said for the character who parked an SUV-loaded bomb at Times Square but merely started a small fire instead of igniting his bomb, which could have blown away much of the area. In short, it’s only a matter of time when, not if, something else happens.
The “sleeper cells” are in this country. The Boston bombers most likely didn’t work alone. For instance, no one has indicated any visible means of support for the Tsarnaev brothers or their automobiles. It’s doubtful that one’s being a (failing) student and the other a sometime boxer would cut it.
And so it goes.

DNC Memorandum #13
From the office of the chairWOMAN, 18 April 2013
***Listen up! There are no apologies offered for the absence of memos since January. This has been a terribly busy time for the chairWOMAN, what with the reelection of the change-master and the nominating of new Cabinet secretaries. As is obvious, the nasty rumor that she has been politicking for a cabinet position is wrong and she will not do that again. There’s been little time for the chairWOMAN to be occupying her seat in the House, as well, but neither the Senate nor the House is doing anything these days, so what else is new?
***As you know, the term “terrorism” was stricken from all government documents, correspondence, speeches, etc., years ago and replaced by the term “man-caused disasters.” POTUS has directed that the term “terrorism” may be used again in light of the Marathon-bombing, but only temporarily. As soon as the bomber has been identified, and assuming he will be an angry White Anglo-Saxon Protestant Male, the term “terrorism” will be reinstated. Caution: Do not use “terrorism” anyway since it offends POTUS.
***In the same vein, the National Football League is preparing a suit against the government account the term “man-caused disaster” is discriminatory, insensitive, and comprises a sort of racism. The league is also suing the lady-sportswriter who categorized the NFL as a training-ground for terrorists, noting that it fosters more concussions per capita than any Muslim country that sponsors terrorism, which is about all of them. POTUS has taken no position on this but VPOTUS has made it clear that it’s a big #^%$&^%%^&* deal and that women should rise up and fight, but not in the NFL.
***It was mentioned in the last memo that POTUS is considering instituting a Department of Gender. The DNC has been requested to furnish a red/yellow/black/white paper on the advantages and disadvantages, though anyone at DNC finding disadvantages concerning women will be sent to the Durbin Re-indoctrination Center & Gulag for re-orientation to liberalism. The LGBTQ crowd is on board, though it has not yet decided how many genders there are. Account VPOTUS’s extraordinary interest in the well-being of women, Sandra Fluke is lobbying legislators on behalf of awarding free double-barrel-shotguns to all women above the age of twelve, as well as two per day of the super-slimy-fail-safe-exotic condoms featuring the two-second automatic-unrolling feature for overwhelming passion-attack panic.
***POTUS has requested help with speeches to be used in his capacity as Griever-in-Chief. He has decided to make an appearance at any location in which there have been multiple killings, except for Chicago since in that case he would have to move back home (little joke there). He has made it clear that guns are to be accused as killers, not people. So, be advised that any submission must not blame any human – even Muslim jihadists, assuming they’re human – for any massacre or even a single killing. Former C-of-S Sunstein has suggested that guns should be provided with lawyers, as well as animals, but do not approach this matter. Also, a griever-speech for Benghazi has been ruled out. After all, there were only four killed there and this new policy was not in force then.
***The rumor that POTUS’s dear friend, confidant and political supporter Bill Ayers had something to do with the Marathon bombing is patently untrue and Ayers has insisted that he would not plan such a thing again. His background with the Weather Underground domestic terrorists of yesteryear, which blew up government buildings and shot at people (thankfully not when sober or LSD-free), will be useful in the government’s new manuals establishing methods of community-organizing. Ayers will be assisted by his wife, Bernadine Dohrn, also of WU fame and who teaches law at Northwestern. The rumor that she has tried to run over Presbyterians is untrue and she has said she will not do that again, though makes no promises about Baptists or other republicans.
***POTUS and even VPOTUS and even FLOTUS continue to be concerned about the job situation, which is improving since thousands of jobs are being classified as extinct, therefore pushing the unemployment figures downward. People looking for jobs that don’t exist cannot be classified as unemployed—simple. Also, laid-off workers are being encouraged to apply for total disability and this has worked wonders in decreasing the rate. As Obamacare kicks in (2015 instead of 2014 at last accounting), many more will be inducted into the ranks of the disabled, partial disability now being considered for even a hang-nail. This ailment may be upgraded to 50% disability in the near future since it is seen now by the appropriate czar as hazardous to driving.
***It is rumored that POTUS and VPOTUS are furious at Senator Reid for calling the gun legislation “anti-gun” instead of “anti-assault-weapons” or something like that. This is not true and POTUS’s castigation of the Senate in the Rose Garden over the legislation’s defeat was because he simply needed a cigarette and not because he is anti-gun. Also, rigged polls showing that the citizenry supported the legislation will be castigated, as well. In the meantime after VPOTUS’s recommendation concerning the gun-needs of women, it is reported that sales for 12-gauge double-barrel shotguns are out of sight, helping the economy. Do not—REPEAT—do NOT mention the broken shoulders and arms that often happen to people when they shoot these guns for the first time.
And so it goes.

Kerry & the Kiddie Korps
The “Kiddie Korps” is alive and well in Washington, as it has been in spades for the last four years. The latest major addition to the Korps (Obama would probably say “korpse,” as in his famous “corpse-man” [referring to navy “corpsman” twice] remark at a prayer breakfast somewhere) is John Kerry, famous by his own admission as voting for the Iraq War before he voted against it, a wondrous revelation by a “settled” mind.
Kerry also established his bona fides a few years back by stating that guys who couldn’t handle the world of education wound up in Iraq. Just these two gems of wisdom alone are indications of his ability to be secretary of state, never even mind his remarkable attempts back around 1970, by sucking up to a gaggle of North Vietnamese honchos in Paris (where else?), to end the Vietnam War. He was a low-ranking naval reserve officer at the time representing no one in an act of treason. He shares a common trait with Obama called PNS, Perpetual Narcissism Syndrome.
This is what Kerry said to a Senate committee in 1971: “So what I am saying is that yes, there will be some recrimination but far, far less than the 200,000 a year who are murdered [in Vietnam] by the United States of America …”. Kerry’s comrades/nation had murdered [his word] 1.6 million Vietnamese 1964-71 (or almost 4 percent of the population for 1970), mostly civilians – women, children, and old men. He’s never offered a scintilla of proof for that wacky accusation so, naturally, he can be secretary of state for Obama, who has no apparent love for the military…or the truth.
The big news lately has been that Defense Secretary Hagel has been busy beefing up this country’s missile-defense system in the Far East, the better to protect places like Guam, should the little idiot running (or is he?) North Korea these days decide to make mincemeat (or rice-cakes) of the U.S., as he on a daily basis promises. This means intercepting enemy missiles much like the Israelis do routinely to down those fired at Israel from Gaza. This would also protect South Korea, Japan and other places.
In other words, Hagel is using a system developed from the Strategic Defense Initiative (Star Wars) put into place three decades ago by President Reagan but over much opposition in Congress. This is what Kerry had to say about SDI in 1986: “What we must do is deny this program [SDI] the funds that would enable this cancer on our nation's defense to grow any further.” One wonders if Kerry, having been against the system then, is for the system now. He probably doesn’t know.
One year earlier in June 1985, the Associated Press reported that Kerry was advocating the same position of limiting funding to SDI, calling it, “a dream based on an illusion.” So…do either the president or Kerry eat a bit of crow, the former for his monstrous lack of judgment in appointing Kerry and the latter for being if not a hypocrite, at least not very forthcoming or convincing as a public official?
So…Kerry has visited the Chinese and strongly suggested (actually begged) that they “just do something” about Kim Jung Un, who is, after all, their puppet. The Chinese commies probably already have warned Hun-Un but since faces have to be saved all around nothing has been made public. How times have changed! After the Pearl Harbor massacre in 1941, FDR warned the Japanese in no uncertain terms that the U.S. would destroy them. He didn’t ask anybody else to do it, just kept his word, also in spades.
Obama can doubtlessly send word to Hun-Un through whatever channels are bound to exist (the newspapers if nothing else) that he, assuming he covers his behind and lives, will preside over mega-tons of ashes should he even launch a firecracker toward this country or its allies. Of course, warm-fuzzy political correctness militates against such powerful truth-telling (racism, anyone?) but one hopes that U.S. missiles are already aimed and readied to take out every conceivable threat/target in North Korea, using every available weapon (and there are myriads of them, hopefully, but in this administration who knows?), even (gasp) drones.
Hun-Un has made it public that Obama should give him a call, perhaps even offer one of his gilt-edged apologies for U.S. intransigence (along with 100 shiploads of peanut butter), so the two can settle their differences. Obama, who put the quietus on Bush’s east-European missile-defense system might even listen. After all, he told the Russkie president last year that after the election he would have more flexibility. Why not just pull an Andrew Jackson, send in the troops and make North Korea the fifty-first state, complete with entitlements all around and Dennis Rodman the governor?
And so it goes.

The Judd l'Affaire
At the Lexington, Ky., Lexington Herald-Leader, the racism, discrimination, and gender-abuse beats are patrolled by columnist Merlene Davis, whose most profound belief is probably that WASP-Ms (White Anglo-Saxon Protestant Men) are actually beings belched from the nether regions as a curse from Satan and form the most glaring example possible of misogyny, homophobia and racism. She observed a bit of spleen-venting in the 11 April issue concerning Senate Majority Leader McConnell’s abuse of poor actress Ashley Judd.
Ms. Judd, a Tennessee resident, put out some feelers a while back – even conferred with Kentucky Governor Beshear, who responded favorably – about running for McConnell’s seat next year. She would have to emulate Hillary Clinton’s move to New York in 2000, raise some cash from the Hollywood crowd (or, Obama’s crowd—all the same), move to the “dark-and-bloody ground” and proceed to buy the election although McConnell’s war-chest holds about $10 million at this point. Of course, Ms. Judd could probably “loan” herself enough, anyway.
Unfortunately, Ms. Judd, perhaps attacked by a severe case of acute-self-importance, wrote, with a co-author of course, an autobiography a couple or so years ago, perhaps another tell-all book with enough titillation to attract buyers. Admittedly, I haven’t seen a copy.
Anyhow, things folks might think strange have been reported to appear in the book, and an apparent eavesdropper or the planter of a “bug” in the McConnell Louisville office managed to secure about 11 minutes of conversation carried on among his staffers, in which some of those strange things were discussed, and there was also (gasp) laughter. Progress Kentucky Super PAC, a major hate-McConnell outfit, has claimed responsibility but with an obviously cooked-up story about taping through a closed door. Apparently, McConnell’s voice did not appear in the conversation.
Included in the book is an account concerning Ms. Judd’s treatment once in a Texas institution for depression and this was part of that discussion, with the recording of the discussion somehow winding up anonymously at Mother Jones magazine (might have brought a penny or two), a far-left-beyond-the-fringe-and-sanity rag. Ms. Davis saw this as a reason for McConnell to apologize to Ms. Judd, who dropped out of the running in March. The infamous recording was made on 02 February. Surprise, surprise!
Ms. Davis brought two other women into the discussion, one the operations director of the National Alliance on Mental Illness, who indicated that a stigma would attach to mental illness until it is treated the same as diabetes or cancer. The other was a super-liberal state senator who said she had been treated for depression all of her adult life. The ladies see the affliction as a mental illness. Judd, however, probably has so much baggage, some of it an unsavory sort, that her depression problem might not have been central. Being dragged through the mud (the above-mentioned PAC has just recently hammered McConnell’s wife vis-à-vis her ethnicity) might have warned off Judd, too.
Davis’s real problem with McConnell is that he’s a WASP-M and, even worse, a republican WASP-M, so it’s just a mean old republican guy attacking a young and beautiful democrat WOMAN—an absolute no-no, the lecherous ancient misogynist. However, Judd’s problem was not McConnell…it was Judd. Just her pictures through the years (clothes relatively unnecessary) do not depict senatorial decorum.
Flash back to 1972 to see how Davis-type, sensitive democrats treat other democrats who suffer from depression. Missouri Senator Eagleton was the vice presidential nominee on the ticket with Senator McGovern in the top spot. It was discovered that Eagleton had been treated in an institution for depression, ergo, he was unceremoniously dumped from the ticket though he remained in the Senate for a long time afterward.
Or take the case of Senator Muskie, early front-runner in the 1972 democrat presidential primary. He shed a few tears at a press conference and VOILA! he was done in by his own sensitive party. Now, the tears would be a badge of courage in the warm-fuzzy political correctness worshiped by liberals. Judd should have shed a few tears and fingered McConnell as a heartless, cruel curmudgeon. But, then, there’s that bare-bottom hockey-poster she did for the University of Kentucky. She didn’t show as much as Beyonce would have if she’d leaned over when she lip-synched the national anthem at the inaugural in January…but almost as much.
And so it goes.

Liberal Silliness
Recently, the Kentucky Legislature, republican-dominated Senate and democrat-dominated House, overwhelmingly passed the Religious Freedom Bill as a further safeguard to religious liberty. The governor, Democrat Steve Beshear, promptly vetoed it, claiming something like the fact that it was too vague and would be terribly dangerous. The veto was overridden by an overwhelming majority. Similar bills have been passed in other states with no significant abuses.
The governor knew better but also knew that political correctness trumps everything else and that granting religious folks anything was unacceptable, no matter how Constitutional their rights. Indeed, the nation is becoming more secularized and hedonistic everyday, religion, especially Judeo-Christian belief, being hammered constantly. Though it shouldn’t have been, the main bone of contention was launched by the LGBTQ community, which is always worried that it will somehow cease being a protected class, collectively the darlings of the liberal establishment.
An article by Corbin, Ky., businessman Bob Terrell was published by the Lexington Herald-Leader on 08 April in which he claimed that at age 79 he had never felt his religious freedom was in jeopardy. Well, who has…does that make him somehow special? Actually, he saw the matter as legislative allowance for people of faith to FORCE their faith on others (ostensibly including him), the usual whine about conservative Christians, who, quite the opposite, have watched as any reference to the God of the Bible is being systematically disallowed in every venue—political correctness carried to the extreme, notwithstanding that God is referenced on everything from money to the Supreme Court building in Washington, with no interference whatever with the citizens’ right to believe or not believe anything.
Terrell said, “I hear no persuasive sermons about the sins of sending our precious men and women to war for reasons expressed that were lies.” Therein, Terrell destroys his whole argument. Preachers who would preach such sermons would be FORCING their religious views on others. He obviously can’t have it both ways but probably doesn’t realize this elementary truth, the liberal mind being too sanctimonious about itself to understand its shallowness. In any case, Obama bombed the bejesus out of Libya—no threat to this country—for seven months in 2011, killing he doesn’t know and doesn’t want to know how many women and children. Terrell probably thinks Qaddafi and his 76,000 troops were about to invade the U.S., with its 1.5 million troops.
Terrell wrote that he heard no PASSIONATE sermons to protect voting rights. Same deal—preacher FORCING religious views on others. Anyhow, anyone eligible to vote in this country can, so why such a sermon in the first place, whether PASSIONATE or not? Does he expect preachers to sermonize on the state of North Korean voters? Maybe. Who knows?
He spoke of people being hungry, out of work and having no hope, so maybe he needs to contact the dear leader in Washington since all that travail is happening on the Obama watch, which has been in effect for more than four years. Terrell said, “We must find ways to reduce unwanted pregnancies.” Okay, rudely, I’m still laughing and admit it. Killing all the men between the ages of 14 and 86 might help. Terrell apparently thinks women are too dumb to figure that one out.
Terrell wondered if freedom actually could exist if two men are not allowed to marry each other. It’s worked pretty well since 1789, but could freedom actually exist if people are denied the right to shoot each other if so moved…or drive drunk…or marry their dogs? Why not allow polygamy…how can freedom actually exist without it? The Muslims do it so what’s wrong with that?
Terrell then took up the matter of guns and the Second Amendment and made reference to the rednecks (about everybody since their Washington representatives pass the laws) who love guns more than children. I’ve given that serious thought and decided that I don’t love my gun at all, much less more than children…but I hope my gun is not offended.
Terrell wrote that the far right suffers from Acute Paranoiac Egomania Syndrome, known as APES. Well…okay. Maybe the far left to which he obviously subscribes follows a protocol called Manly Orgiastic Ruminations On Nothing – MORON, for short.
And so it goes

Why Not Just LAUGH?
What happens when a country heads into “Triviality Land?” Who knows, but one thing is sure, to wit, that it’s desperately searching for an outlet to satisfy its collective need for some sort of relief from things like debt, seat-belts, and mothers-in-law. Throw North Korea’s little imp, Kim Jong Un (otherwise known as Dennis Rodman’s useful idiot…or…vice versa…take your choice), into the mix and…gangbusters for depression. Let’s hear it for some light triviality to dispel the gloom!
Take the president’s latest gaffe although lots of men would not recognize it. Actually only the gals Limbaugh calls the feminazis would…or those super-feminists who yell for combat and stagger under a 70-pound pack. The prez alluded to a lady official as being the most attractive of her ilk in the nation. The politically-correct crowd has accused him of everything from sex-mongering to gender-discrimination to outright creepiness to (gasp and three palpitations of the liver) LUST, made famous by his predecessor back in the day—Jimmy Carter who, nevertheless, considered voyeurism a SIN.
Or, take the case of Mark Sanford, for laughs. Yes, take it, you say, and deep-six it somewhere, the creep. Okay, Sanford, former South Carolina governor who partied in Argentina when he said he was walking the Appalachian Trail, has just won a primary runoff election for a seat in the Congress and has introduced to the public the hot Argentine babe who’s been his shack-up gal. Marriage didn’t get in his way back in the day but now he refers to the tango-chick as his fiancee. Don’t they all? Republicans are not laughing but democrats are sharpening their self-righteous knives and hoping no one mentions Bill Clinton or the “secrets” in Obama’s autobiography or divulged by his live-ins…or the “Baucus l’affaire,” when the senator was ramming Obamacare through the Senate whilst desperately moving his mistress to Washington.
For laughs, take the phrases of the day especially loved by the elitist talk-show crowd—“Guess What” or “You know what?” Fox’s Juan Williams loves this one…sort of dangles his wisdom out there for the recipient to salivate over. He uses it right in the middle of sentences – makes its profoundness superior even to the language itself – and dares the listener to double-down (current “fighting” euphemism for “emphasize”) on his pronouncement or miss the latest declaration from the Oracle at Delphi.
Like “double-down,” the precious and profoundly propounding of “point in time” is another laughable favorite of the news- anchors, officials and such. Instead of the steady “now,” to refer to…well, NOW, it’s so gauche to use that one-syllable word when one can evince superb intellectual acuity by comparing the instant to eternity itself. One supposes they mean to impress God…or…okay, be fair…each other. The rest of the citizens laugh and wonder how such silliness gets in the game.
Oh yes…the most glorious subject these days is same-sex marriage—all those elected officials coming out (no pun intended) for this blissful conjoining of the…well, whatever, having believed obviously rigged polls indicating that the average John Doe actually goes for it. The homosexuals liked “queer” for a while, then changed to “gay,” so one wonders what in this latest paroxysm of political correctness they will adopt—maybe “whoopee?” The minister intones solemnly, “I now pronounce you whoopee and whoopee, you may now kiss the whoopee unless you would prefer another sign of endearment…but not here.” Egad!
John McCain, who seems to have staffers on the lookout for cameras 24/7 (sorta like Senators Graham and Lieberman, laughably, not to mention Schumer, even more laughably), sometimes uses the term “terrorism,” a definitely gauche, adolescent term which the president and Homeland Security guru Napolitano have erased from the lexicon and replaced by the term “man-caused disaster.” Why use one word and be accurate when three words could be used and indicate real stupidity? But terrorism is kinda tough-sounding and the prexy’s Muslim roots should, of course, be accommodated—political correctness observed and duly worshiped. The towers came down as an act of man-caused disaster—has such a nice ring to it. Ask the survivors.
Flash…an all-important revelation! Hillary Clinton, having sized-up the latest rigged polls, has decided that two men marrying each other is anything but laughable, which, of course, makes it laughable. She has calculated the whoopee vote—huge percentage of the electorate—and decided that fair’s fair and if two guys want to make…well, whoopee, they should do it legally.
This makes the 2016 cycle s-o-o-o interesting, what with Long John Kerry gadding about the world in her old plane and looking to that year, himself. He might even find those medals or ribbons (or maybe scivvies) that he threw over the fence back in the day when he and Jane Fonda made common cause while ol’ John McC languished in the Hanoi Hilton…not Woodstock, for Hillary’s edification.
Both of them have had a try now, though Kerry made it into the big runoff so he has seniority. A primary between those two would indeed be laughable. Hillary could describe her desperate, running escape from the Bosnian snipers in 1996, and John could talk about his trip to Paris in 1970 to stop the war so everyone could get off. The collective hot air could make a dent in the Keystone Pipeline, which Obama will likely say is too dangerous to some almost-extinct gnat to build. Laughable…oh yeah!
And so it goes, laugh-wise.

Religious Freedom Upheld by Ky. Legislature
Sometimes editorialists and commentators have such fixed agendas that they activate their keypads before activating their minds and then don’t take a second look before publishing.
Case in point: these statements in the lead editorial of the Lexington Herald-Leader of 29 March: “Or the government [concerning House Bill 279, the so-called religious freedom bill passed by the Legislature and vetoed by the governor] must prove that there is a compelling public interest in restricting the religiously-inspired action. To take just one example of where this could cause nightmares, consider county jails. Individuals held in them could assert that their religions don't allow them to be housed with people of the same sex, or of different religions or on some day of the week. Or, they could assert that their religious beliefs demand special diets or clothing. In every case, it would be the county's legal obligation to prove those beliefs aren't sincere or establish that there is a compelling public interest for not honoring them, or else meet the person's demands.”
A worst example could not be imagined. The government, using taxpayer money, is responsible for both the best use of it and the safety of the entire public, including jailbirds; therefore, the government has a COMPELLING PUBLIC INTEREST in this case and can deny the silly claims noted in this excerpt. The only question the government (jail) would have to consider is the physical well-being of the prisoner, as well as his effect on other prisoners, and not what the prisoner believes about anything. The government would be obligated to remove a prisoner’s diseased appendix, whether or not the prisoner believed his appendix too divine to touch.
The writer confused the matter vis-à-vis the public-versus-private aspects of virtually everything. The paper’s position is that there can be no allowances in ANY SITUATION for what it considers discrimination, never mind the preferences of the people, whether regarding religion or anything else, with regard to what they own and believe. In other words, the paper believes that the government has a compelling public interest in everything and the right to FORCE its will on everyone.
A good example was the paper’s position last year about this time regarding the Hands On Originals matter when a printing company refused service to a homosexual group account religious beliefs of the owner, who nevertheless found a printer who would do the job at no extra cost. The local government had absolutely no COMPELLING PUBLIC INTEREST in this private and resolved matter, but HOO has been subjected to an ethics investigation (and lost) and is still bearing the expense of answering insane questions about its right to decide who its customers will be…on any basis.
The objective of the paper and the city fathers/mothers was simply – after the fact – to put the printing company out of business, mainly through convincing perfectly reasonable people to boycott it. The mayor, himself a homosexual, inveighed mightily as did, of course, the paper, in encouraging people to have a magnificent protest downtown against the company, located a couple or so miles away. The protest was a monumental flop and HOO is still in business. Perhaps now, all the supposed offended ones will just shut up and mind their own business.
The First Amendment protected HOO on religious grounds, but the paper’s position, as well as that of the government, was/is that HOO’s religious beliefs stopped at the point where it harmlessly intersected not the religion but the lifestyle of the homosexual outfit. In this case, the government had a COMPELLING PUBLIC INTEREST, if any interest at all, in protecting HOO’s right to legally do business its way. The city fathers/mothers failed woefully, as did the paper, and sent the message that folks had better watch out because Big Brother will make all decisions and punish those who don’t comply with its directives, assuming no laws are broken.
The group screaming the loudest about the legislation was, of course, the homosexual outfit, insisting that its perversion must be accepted by people who do not approve of it and want nothing to do especially business-wise with those who engage homosexual behavior, the latter being a religious matter for many Christians since it is biblically condemned vehemently, as well as filthy biologically. For that matter, a property-owner (especially furnished apartments), disregarding any religious belief, should not be forced to rent to people who perform anal or oral sex (or other unnatural practices) on each other for reasons that should be perfectly obvious.
The legislation/veto-override was good and proper. The paper made sure to point out the very few “good-guys” who voted not to override the governor’s veto. This may not help them as much as thought in the next election.
And so it goes.

States Losing Rights
The Obama tenure, past and future, is the bellwether of tension between states’ rights and federal areas of responsibility. Obama has made it plain that he’s for having an impregnably strong central government to which the citizens and states will bow the knee, personally and institutionally, never mind any state law or state constitution.
This is being played out now in the two cases before the Supreme Court. The will of the people in California was expressed a short time ago in the referendum approving Proposition Eight, the constitutional defining of marriage as ONLY between a man and woman. Obama has already quite publicly expressed his opinion (that of a “constitutional law” lecturer) that the California amendment is un-Constitutional, federally; therefore, it should be struck down, as it was by the squirrelly Ninth Circuit. The state, in his view, has no right concerning marriage definition.
The SCOTUS is at the same time deciding the fate of the Defense of Marriage Act, passed by Congress in 1996 defining marriage federally as between ONLY a man and woman. This law was passed by the elected representatives, surrogates of the citizens to protect the nation’s interests. Clearly, the people have spoken on the federal level in this way. Additionally, in the vast majority of states, laws and/or constitutions define marriage as between ONLY a man and woman.
The president has declared publicly that his Judicial Department will not enforce this law merely upon his disagreement with it, notwithstanding his sworn oath to carry out all the laws of the land. This is an impeachable offense far more serious that that of Bill Clinton in 1999, when he was impeached for lying under oath and obstruction of justice. The Senate did not convict, notwithstanding that Clinton was guilty as sin.
With the addition of cabinet-level departments to the federal government has occurred concomitantly a diminishing of states’ rights. The federal government has some distinct responsibilities, to wit, national defense, international affairs, a universal system of financial instruments, interstate commerce and transportation, management of government assets such as lands, buildings, parks and highways, federal court system and appropriate law-enforcement (not a national police force, as Obama recommended in 2008), and little else.
Practically all other things should be left up to the states, none of which fits a one-pattern-for-all schema. Indeed, the feds can ruin a good thing, such as is the case with the Department of Education, which since its entry into that area has presided over a decline in educational achievement. The “no child left behind” effort has been a fiasco and a monumental headache for states, not to mention its outrageous cost, much of which due to excessive regulation and record-keeping.
The best eye on the money is that which is closest to its collecting and spending, making the states and their legislatures and courts better procurers and auditors of public funds than the federal government, having as a premier attribute the elements of wastefulness and far-off corruption on a grand scale. States should be responsible for healthcare concerns, for instance, not the Congress, president, or detached bureaucrats in Washington who have no idea of local/state situations in a nation of 314 million people spread over 3.8 million square miles.
There are 15 federal departments presided over by secretaries appointed on the basis of patronage mostly – often people who have no training or background for handling their departments. For instance, the current education-secretary came from Chicago—surprise, surprise—where he presided over one of the worst public-education systems in the country. The director of homeland security was a governor and legal-system bureaucrat, not an expert in terrorism, military affairs, or espionage. Remember the official replacement of the term “terrorism” with “man-caused-disaster,” like a car-wreck? Egad!
States can be at the mercy of the Department of Housing and Urban Development instead of sensibly handling their own preferences and establishing their own regulations. HUD should be rescinded, as should Health and Human services, with the exception of the Centers for Disease Control and the National Institutes of Health. There’s no Department of Enterprise so there should be no Department of Labor.
There’s no need for a Department of Energy, the states being able to take care of that area locally much better than the feds can do it. A state can, for instance, define the gasoline formula by season if it so desires. That partly explains why gas is so expensive in California. States can trade energy back-and-forth to guard against brownouts without the federal government messing up such arrangements with its endless and useless regulations. Left to their own devices, states would have approved the Keystone Pipeline years ago, with no harm to any entity.
The federal government is way too big, corrupt, wasteful and costly. It has steadily co-opted the rights that states should have. All the furor over gun-control has been for nothing…the states can handle this. The states can decide whether or not men should marry men, a ridiculous proposition, but in Iowa, a state that hopefully will be entirely ignored in the next election-cycle, they can do that already…so why should SCOTUS be tied up in something that ridiculous?
Voters should decide in the 2014 and 2016 elections whether or not they want to be part of a federal monarchy presided over by a king posing as president. States’ rights are too important to be frittered away in the interest of turning the country into a huge welfare state, which is what is happening now.
And so it goes.
Jim Clark
Pathetic Professorial Punditry
In a 19 March column in the Lexington Herald-Leader (Lexington, Ky.), Mike Rivage-Seul, emeritus professor of peace and social justice (whatever that is) at Berea College, vented his spleen upon Pope Francis, citing his misbehavior during the so-called “Dirty War” in Argentina 1976-83, in which lots of folks just disappeared, not that folks didn’t disappear routinely in that part of the world. He described Francis as a (gasp) “compassionate conservative,” about as lethal an attribute as one can imagine on most college campuses these days.
Describing the divine bearing on the pope’s election, the professor wrote, “Evidently, she [the Holy Spirit] concluded, ‘I’ll let them elect a clone of John Paul II if they like. But then I’ll take over and allow the scandalous crimes of that clone to become evident. As a result, he’ll have to resign.’” FYI, the going thing on college campuses and gaggles of seminaries these days (a gender-diversity thing) is the designation of the biblical Holy Spirit as feminine (named Shekina), not masculine, as documented in the Bible…a sort of spiritual glass-ceiling response.
This gives professors a warm/fuzzy feeling, perhaps something like “fellow-feeling,” mentioned by the professor in a February column, in which the he wrote, “The 20th century, once so full of promise, turned out to be the bloodiest in the history of the world. And the West was responsible for it all… .” The U.S. just didn’t have the same degree of “fellow-feeling” that the Nazis and the Japanese had, thus all the carnage by the corrupt West. An example of fellow-feeling might accrue to the 200,000 Korean “comfort women” enslaved and raped by Japanese soldiers during WWII to keep them from having sex-deprived headaches during their butcheries.
Rivage-Seul is carrying out an assignment by the Holy Spirit, just making those “scandalous crimes” become evident, presumably with a view toward getting a pope, as he noted, with a “feminine spirit” and “outside the ranks of the College of Cardinals,” never mind that the “oldest profession” is carried out with a “feminine spirit.” Okay, a lot of folks have harped on the pope’s lackluster performance vis-à-vis Hitler’s treatment of the Jews in the 1930s-40s, so why not slam Francis for not taking a bullet in Argentina?
Also in the 19 March issue was a piece by Michael F. Cairo, associate professor of political science at Transylvania University, who claimed that the Iraq War was/is responsible for the turmoil, trials and troubles in the Middle East today, meaning that Francis was innocent but George Bush was the culprit, never mind that Kurds, Sunnis and Shiites have been butchering each other for a thousand years. Indeed, Saddam spent the 1980s gassing the Iranians and his own people (okay, Kurds) and then invaded Kuwait long before the Iraq War, with a view toward taking over the whole oil-rich Arabian Peninsula.
Cairo wrote, “The Bush administration destroyed any chance of negotiation with Iran by including it in the Axis of Evil… .” He claimed that Bush scared the Iranians into thinking he was about to do a number on them. This got Obama off the hook. Obama claimed back in 2008 that he would have a tete-a-tete with Amadinejad and they would make things all better. He never did that but it was Bush’s fault and Cairo knows it.
Cairo also didn’t mention that Obama was gung-ho for the Arab Spring and even wasted a bunch of Libyans to prove it…bombed ’em for seven months, but that didn’t affect the turmoil in the Middle East…did it? He also told Mubarak, Saleh, Qaddafi and Assad they had to go…or else, but the “or else” never came through (except for hopelessly weak Libya); therefore, more turmoil…all Bush’s fault, naturally.
Cairo did mention one thing Obama has done—the DRONES. Now that might just upset some Middle Easterners enough to make them cast aspersions at this country and shoot each other more intensely in the bargain. Remember how they shot each other in Pakistan when they heard that a Koran had been (gasps-s-s-s) flushed. It wasn’t, of course, but the deed was done. The perpetrator of that BIG LIE, Michael Isikoff, now works for NBC, where all “progressives” like the professors are welcome. Revising history is such fun.
Cairo said that Saddam’s reign of terror kept the Sunnis, Shiites and Kurds manageable. Yeah…and he only had to kill off 400,000 (mostly Shiites and Kurds) for that excellence. Egad! Progressive professors are a real laugh.
And so it goes.

Pope Francis
Now that the glitter and glamour (strangely out of place) of his election is wearing away, Pope Francis can get down to trying to resurrect a total train-wreck called the Catholic Church. Claiming a membership of some 1.2 billion may not be as significant as it seems, especially since Catholics are born into the church, not necessarily converted, as is the case in Protestant and other denominations, such as the Baptists and Pentecostals. Thus, all the Pope’s talk about converting non-believers is in order.
According to TIME magazine, the major growth area for the church in the last five years has been Africa, particularly the sub-Equatorial area. Angola, for instance, is 57% Catholic, although the World Almanac indicates 38%. There perhaps is a difference between Catholic and “nominally Catholic,” as seen in the figures for Argentina, with TIME claiming a 77% rate and World Almanac, “nominally 92%.” Brazil has dropped from a one-time 99% to the current 65%, largely due to evangelical adherents sort of “converting” Latin American Catholics.
The recent election and celebrations were almost nether-worldly in that Catholics seem to worship the Pope more than God, not hard to understand since the attribute of “infallibility” (at least in spiritual matters) has been accorded the Pope. It would be interesting to test this attribute if Pope Francis and the retired pope Benedict 16 should publicly disagree, even though unwittingly.
This may explain why evangelicals, who insist that a believer stands on his own feet before God, are becoming quite successful in Latin America, where Catholics are taught to confess to a priest (though this seems out of fashion now), who in a way stands between the congregant and God, in a way acting as Christ.
There are 206 Cardinals, the “ruling” cadre of the church, though the Pope by definition has the final say on everything. The Cardinals, other than electing a Pope when necessary, are responsible as Archbishops for the operations of dioceses or collections of dioceses throughout the world. Nearly half the Cardinals (92) are past age 80, with only those below that age eligible to elect the Pope, 114 in the case of Pope Francis. The average age of the 117 Cardinals when they elected Pope Benedict 16 in 2005 was 71. Benedict 16 was 78 that year. Pope Francis will be 77 this year.
The church is its own worst enemy in a way. Transparency is almost totally absent in its affairs. This may be part of the reason that evangelicals are making significant inroads in Latin America. The unbelievable effort at total secrecy, even the penultimate cloistering of the Cardinals during the election, is a good example of how not to gain the trust of the people. Other denominations have open elections and even politicking goes on. This may be good or bad but at least it’s observable.
So…the Papacy is an “old guard” thing. The Pope appoints the Cardinals and the appointees have been around awhile before taking office, meaning that little change will take place soon, especially with regard to abortion, same-sex marriage, ordination of women to the priesthood, toleration of homosexuality, even though the latter is a genuine problem in the priesthood. There was a horrible well-publicized homosexual orgy involving priests in Rome prior to the recent election.
The worst disgrace for the church in recent years, of course, has been perpetrated by priest-pedophiles, who have molested no telling how many children for no one knows how long and for which the church has been paying tens of millions to satisfy both the victims and the courts. Some 10 million dollars were paid in California to four victims just prior to the papal election. The pedophile is a different creature from the homosexual, but the church leadership must rid itself of both if it’s ever to have credibility.
Allowing the priests to marry might assuage the homosexual problem, though that would need a decision by an infallible Pope negating a decision by another infallible Pope, but it’s been done before. The pedophiles and the bishops/cardinals who “moved them around” should all go to jail.
The recent Vatican bank-scandal is a good example of no one being at home to take charge. The church has much to offer but it must “purify” itself. There are “irregularities” (sin, whatever) in all denominations but one hopes that Pope Francis can set things straight in his church.
Disclaimer: I am not a Catholic.

Pathetic White Males
Finally, two of the more recognizable “special times” have passed for another year, to wit, Black History Month and International Women’s Day. It’s at these times that both the African American community and the Distaff Side can express with absolute impunity a castigation of the white male, surely the most evil influence in the Creation.
Accused of everything from outright racism and discrimination by the former to overbearing arrogance and…yes…discrimination by the latter—not to mention brutality, of course—the white male is indeed a pathetic creature. One wonders if there ever will be an International Men’s Day, not that the average white male would notice, tied up as he is in riotous living of one kind or another or just plain corruption, whether in government, business or even the church.
To check out racism and discrimination, one might have noticed the entire front page of the SWEET SIXTEEN SECTION of the Lexington Herald-Leader of 09 March, on which was found a photo of the Madison Central/Holmes contest featuring all ten players (five from each team), only one of whom was white, not to mention the referee, also, who was black. Or, check out UK coach Calipari’s six current signed-scholarship players and three hopefuls, of whom there is only one white guy, but he counts double because he’s the only Kentucky resident in the group.
This is not to say the best basketball players, regardless of ethnicity, should not be chosen for either participation or scholarships; rather, it is to say that racism and discrimination are two-edged swords, with plenty of both blame and credit to go around. With respect to scholarships regarding all races, however, UK should recruit in Kentucky, with the coach actually coaching instead of riding herd on a gaggle of high-school super-stars from wherever.
The ladies have lobbied for and just been granted by the dear leader (or, as he would insist, the commander-in-chief…WE WON) the opportunity to become combat grunts in the military, shooting off the guns and carrying those 70-pound backpacks, living in the desert and dodging enemy bullets and land mines. Hurrah! He’s not a bigoted white male…far too sophisticated for that, understanding that girls should have the right to be killed or mutilated and, if taken prisoner, gang-raped like the 200,000 Korean “comfort” women at the mercy of Japanese soldiers in WWII.
The ladies have arrived, at last, but separate battlefield bathrooms can be a problem, at least where they exist, which is just about nowhere. The bigoted white-male field commanders were very publicly against nullifying “don’t ask, don’t tell,” and it’s a sure bet they hate to see the gals platooning along, but they’re just too insensitive…and don’t forget (drum roll, please) discriminating.
This comes at a time in Kentucky at which the Legislature has heaved heavily and delivered itself of…no, it got tied up somewhere…a “date-rape” bill of some sort, never mind that the state universities endorse and maintain coed dorms, in which students are practically encouraged toward hanky-panky on a 24/7 basis, with the possibility that an irate coed, whether on “Ecstasy” or drunk or not, can say “J’accuse,” whether or not something bad has happened. The poor guy, whether guilty or not, has nothing to say about it but gets his name in the paper.
So…it’s okay to send 110-pound girls into battle but laws have to be written to protect them on home turf in case they fall into a compromising circumstance. Why not just suggest they stay sober, give them boot-camp training as fresh-women and let them protect themselves from the creeps they hang with…a gun in every girl’s book-backpack? Imagine tying up the courts and law enforcement vis-à-vis protective orders accruing to guys the girls turn off, and then try to get even with, the sleazebags.
About this time last year in Lexington, Ky., folks were gearing up for the annual Gay Pride Day in June sponsored by the Gay and Lesbian Services Organization (GLSO), so that will be another “special day” during which the white straight male will be excoriated for being insensitive, the unfeeling thug. Last year, an employee of an outfit called Hands On Originals had contracted to print the T-shirts for the great day but its owner decided to break the contract account religious beliefs militating against homosexual behavior, euphemism for “unnatural acts using the sex organs and other body parts.”
HOO, self-described as Christian Outfitters, actually employed homosexuals and even found a substitute company at no greater expense but that was not good enough for the offended GLSO, so the business at hand became putting the business at hand out of business. HOO is still in business but has been put through the wringer, a recent decision, after a wasted year, going against HOO by the Human Rights Commission.
The paper editorialized against HOO last year and advertised a “grand protest” in a downtown park conveniently 2.5 miles from the HOO headquarters, which might have been hard for some folks to find. Sixty people showed up out of a population of 297,000 or so. HOO has also survived the paper’s attempt to deep-six it.
Yeah…there’s nothing like the “special days” to get the adrenalin flowing against the white male. Chances are that he’ll survive Mothers Day, or at least not be made to look like Lizzie Borden…oh wait, that was an alleged lady axe-murderer. Oh well…the white male usually gets a break on the fourth of July…for obvious reasons.
And so it goes.
